It's Time to Get Inspired
It’s day 2 for Elijah, Enea and Hidde in London – so what have they been up to?
Yesterday, after meeting the rest of the Y-Space team and some Propheteers, the guys got straight into finding out exactly what they would be getting up to this week. Armed with CityMapper, Oyster cards of course their mobile phones, they headed out to get some inspiration for their documentary.
Heading out from Covent Garden, the boys walked towards South Bank, stopping to check out the skate park and graffiti on the riverside. They continued along the river and made their way to Tate Modern to check out Superflex – the swings exhibition.
They continued to explore, taking photos of things that inspired them. And they returned to the office with 5 strong ideas for their documentary:
1. Introducing London to people who have never been before
2. Going backwards is sometimes necessary to end up going forward
3. Balancing your life between forwards and backwards
4. Pushing yourself to the limit
5. Using the swings as a metaphor for connections between people, regardless of race, gender, belief, etc.
They worked with 3 Propheteers to narrow these down and ended the day with two concepts they’re keen to focus on.

Thursday morning comes, but Elijah, Enea and Hidde are teenage boys after all, so is it any wonder they overslept?
Once they got to the office, they followed guidance from Abbie Brandon to push their ideas further and explore how they could bring them to life. Then it was time to head out into the city again with a tripod, microphone and portable charger, along with their flushed-out script and detailed shot list for the day.
That’s it for now, but they’ll be back in the studio tomorrow to edit their video – we’ll keep you posted!
