AND THE AWARD GOES TO…

Y_Space Hipstograph Sebastian Oskar Kroll takes the triple at the OSCARS® of the mobile photography world

Sunday night was all about the OSCARS® and they finished off just as glamorous as always – well, maybe apart from that teeny tiny mistake at the very end. But joking aside, the Academy Awards are the most important prize in the film industry and anyone who receives one can feel truly honored.

When it comes to the mobile photographer scene there’s an annual prize that can be considered the OSCARS® of mobile photography: the HIPSTOGRAPHY AWARDS®.

This year’s issue of the annual award ceremony took place earlier this month. We were thrilled to find out that Sebastian Oskar Kroll, photographer during our Lights, Camera, Action! event and one of the pioneers of Berlin’s hipstograph movement got nominated seven (!) times. But that’s not all.

Based on thousands of votes alongside a high-profile global jury, Sebastian took home a total of three trophies: the Color Portfolio of the Year Grand Prize Award for his “Moments” series, a Special Award by the jury for his “Kreuzberg” series, and the Major Prize Award for Portrait of the Year.
